TaoTronics TT-BH22 Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth headphones are affordable, packed with features, and have a great sound for the price. I especially like that they are comfortable to wear, have a long battery life, and have noise cancelation which can be turned on and off. I also like the onboard controls and the fact that you can use them as wired headphones if the battery runs down or if you want to preserve battery power.
All in all, the TaoTronics headphones are a great value, one which will allow those on a budget to step up into the freedom of movement only Bluetooth headphones can offer. Check out the following review to learn more.

TaoTronics TT-BH22 Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones feature comfortable soft leatherette ear cushions which surround your ears.
The headphones are also lightweight, feature an adjustable headband, and include 90 degree swiveling ear cups. It’s incredibly easy to get a good fit. With minimal adjustment, they sit on your head comfortably and you don’t even notice their weight.
The TaoTronics TT-BH22 headphones seem to be well built and solid. They’re not on par with higher end headphones I have reviewed, but they’re great for the price you spend.
Features of TaoTronics TT-BH22
In terms of features, the TaoTronics active noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones are packed.
First, they offer an easy to pair Bluetooth 4.2 connection. Once paired, repairing is easy. They have a Bluetooth range of 10 meters and also are compatible with aptX devices. With a device that features aptX, you can enjoy better sound and lower latency than with conventional Bluetooth.
If you’re looking for a pair of bluetooth headphones for watching tv then these could be the pair for you.
This headphone also includes active noise cancelling. With the flip of a switch you can engage or disengage the noise reduction circuitry.
The noise cancelling technology is useful in reducing outside ambient noise. It especially excels on low pitched constant sounds such as plane, train, and commute noise.
Don’t expect the quality of Bose noise cancellation or anything like that, however. In that respect, the much more expensive Bose models I have reviewed are definitely superior. Still, for the price of admission, the noise reduction is useful and can certainly help in certain situations.
Don’t expect to be completely isolated from the outside world, however. No noise cancelling headphone can do that. Certain sounds will always make it through. Still, if you’re looking for a set of headphones with useable noise reduction at a great price, these are certainly worth considering.
With music playing, the noise reduction circuitry works at its best. I like that you don’t have to crank the music volume due to competition with outside noise. With the active noise cancellation engaged and music playing, I was able to get the maximum amount of isolation from the outside world.
Battery life is long lasting, with up to 25 hours of playback. When the battery runs out you can either recharge or plug in the included 3.5mm cable and use the TaoTronics as a wired pair of headphones.
A built in microphone with integrated cVc 6.0 noise canceling technology is also included. This mic is designed to filter ambient noise allowing you to come through clear and quiet, even in crowded and noisy areas.
Onboard controls allow you to pair, make and receive calls, and control volume and audio playback. Like many wireless Bluetooth headphones, the buttons take a bit of getting used to, especially if you keep them on your head. After some time, however, they become easy to navigate and the location of the buttons becomes second nature.
Do the TaoTronics TT-BH22 Sound good?
Even though this is an affordable, budget pair of Bluetooth headphones, their sound is still aggressive and powerful.
Dual 40mm drivers deliver powerful sound with plenty of bass. The bass is somewhat hyped, although I wouldn’t call them basshead level headphones.
While the sound isn’t audiophile level and doesn’t compare with more expensive models I have reviewed, I still found the sound to be fun and engaging to listen to.
While reviewing this headphone, I found that the aggressive bass didn’t seem to compete with the mid frequencies which are well balanced for a headphone of this price. The highs are also bright and vivid. They lack the brilliance and clarity of a high end audiophile headphone, but overall are really good for the price.
Our Verdict on TaoTronics Headphones
With a low price point, lots of features, and a fun, engaging sound, the TaoTronics Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones are a great set to consider if you are on a budget. If you have an aptX compatible TV, they will make a great headphone for watching TV, as the latency of aptX is much lower than regular Bluetooth.
If you’re looking for a noise cancelling headphone but can’t afford higher end models such as those by Bose, these are worth considering as well.
Don’t expect them to be as good as Bose, and certainly don’t expect them to eliminate all outside noise as this is something no noise cancelling headphone can do. But if you are looking for something affordable which can reduce noise from planes, trains, and other constant sounds, this is a good headphone to purchase.
Their large number of features and wearing comfort make them a great everyday headphones. If you’re looking for a great pair of low priced Bluetooth over ear headphones, these are definitely worth checking out.
