Treblab XR100 earbuds offer high end features at an incredibly low price point.
For about 25 dollars you get wireless Bluetooth connectivity, a comfortable to wear design, a built in mic for taking calls, and an assortment of eartips so you can choose the perfect fit. They are also IPX4 water resistant and sweatproof, essential features when you’re working out or playing sports.
It wasn’t long ago that Bluetooth earbuds in this price range would have been unheard of. But now you can buy wireless Bluetooth earbuds for about the same price as a standard set of wired earbuds.

Treblab XR100 headphones feature a design and fit which stays in place whether you are running, biking, or working out at the gym.
They come with three sizes of both silicone and foam ear tips so you can choose the right size and material for your needs. The built in ear hooks do a great job of keeping the earbuds in place. The connecting cable rests on your neck but is lightweight and hardly noticeable at all.
Considering their ultra-low price, Treblab XR100s are well built and sturdy. They are also IPX4 water resistant and sweat resistant. This is a great feature for a pair of sport headphones. You don’t want to buy a new set of earbuds just to see them destroyed when exposed to sweat. Fortunately, these are made to stand up to sweat, water splashing on them, and rain.
I also like that they come with a durable, compact case. Headphones seem to get damaged more when you’re not using them than when you are. This is because they get thrown in car seats or in a gym bag, or are left lying around where they can get stepped on or dropped. With this sturdy and easy to carry case, you can simply store your headphones after use and they will be ready to go anytime you are.
Treblab XR100 Earbud Features
Treblab XR100 earbuds feature Bluetooth 4.1 CSR technology, giving you the freedom of movement only wireless headphones can provide. You no longer have to worry about the cable getting in your way or catching the cable on something and jerking it out. Bluetooth distance on these headphones is 10 meters.
Battery life is up to 8 hours of listening time per charge. When it’s time to recharge, insert the included micro USB cable and the device will be charged in two hours.
The expandable foam eartips do a great job of attenuating outside noise. These are not active noise cancelling headphones, however. They are passive; meaning that outside noise is attenuated by the physical design of the headphones. With proper fitting foam eartips, outside noise is well attenuated, allowing you to listen to your music at lower levels and preserve your hearing. This is also a great feature if you are working out at the gym and music is already playing over their sound system.
There is also a built in microphone for taking and making calls, as well as giving commands to your smartphone. The microphone features noise cancellation circuitry which reduces outside noise that would otherwise leak into your microphone. This ensures that the person on the other end of the call hears you loud and clear.
You can make and receive calls without taking your earbuds off. Simply use the onboard control buttons to take and make calls.
Other onboard controls include volume up and down, play/pause, and skip/previous. Voice prompts are also available to keep you informed of operations.
Treblab XR100 Sound
In order to be fair, sound must be considered in the context of price. When you take into account that you are getting a pair of Bluetooth earbuds which fit well, are comfortable to wear, and have a built in mic for taking calls, all for about $25, these headphones are a great deal.
That being said, the sound isn’t amazing. There are certainly better sounding headphones on the market today. On the other hand, they all cost more than these. I would recommend the Treblab XR100s for anyone who is happy with the basic earbuds that came with their device but want something that is wireless.
Actually, the sound is a little better; I think there is more bass response and a little more clarity in the XR100s than on standard earbuds. Still, this is not a great pair for audiophiles. The bass is more present than on a standard set of earbuds, but they lack the power and clarity of a nicer set of earbuds. Also, the high end can get a little sibilant on some material.
Our Verdict on Treblab XR100 Earbuds
If you’re looking for a pair of Bluetooth earbuds at the lowest possible price that will do the job and work well, then you will be happy with the Treblab XR100s. If sound quality is your main concern, however, I would recommend a better pair of wired earbuds. But all in all, they sound pretty good considering the price.
If you’re buying a pair of sports oriented Bluetooth earbuds, sound quality is probably not your main concern. You’re likely more interested in freedom of movement and a stay put, comfortable fit. As long as you’re not expecting high end audiophile sound, the Treblab XR100s will work fine for your purposes.
If you’re on a tight budget and want a set of sport headphones which are water resistant, sweatproof, and offer the freedom of movement only Bluetooth wireless can provide, then the Treblab XR100 is a great choice.
